Final Evaluation

At first I was slightly worried about working with Shahana because she had much more experience with makeup than I did and I assumed her designs would be of a very hard standard that I wouldn’t be able to do, but working with her was anything but.
Having her as a partner really helped me improve my makeup skills and also learn new skills
I appreciated her honesty if something didn’t look right or if I was doing something wrong she would tell me how to improve or suggest a new technique.
I really loved having her as a partner and wouldn’t hesitate to work with her again

Her face chart was really straight forward in what she wanted the makeup to look like and what brushes I should use on different parts of the face which was very helpful

The final look turned out really well I love the fact that it still has the Elizabethan touch to it with the white eyes and apple cheeks

It was really modernised with the fanned out eyebrows I think I could have worked on the symmetry of the eyebrows more, Though it turned out much better than the first time I attempted this look so practice definitely did help improve it.

3 brush challenge

In class we had a challenge to do any makeup look i decided to go with shahanas final design to get more practice of her look but change it up slightly the three brushes i used were a foundation brush, blush brush and an angled brush.

I started of by applying the base foundation then with my blush brush i applied loose powder and a pink blush to the cheek with the angled brush i applied white under the eyes and on over the eye lashes then with the same brush applied the black to the eyebrows and blended gold at the bottom of the eyebrows.

Its amazing what you can do with just 3 brushes rather than picking up 10 brushes if you don't have to and also its great practice if ever you forget brushes on a set that your still able to complete a look with what you have.

Final Design

My final makeup design applied by Shahana Hanif. I really love the end result it was exactly how I wanted it to look although i don't really like the pictures because it does the makeup no justice.

Attempt Number 2!

For my second attempt we changed the design darkening the foundation, adding purple to the eyebrows and instead of gold eyelids we used white eye shadow and white eyelashes.
I toned down the colour on the cheeks a lott and used a red tint on the lips i preferred this look much more than the first one

My Final Design (Face Chart)

After looking back at my research I finally came up with my final design.
The main concept of my makeup was the transition from elizabethan to contemporary so I decided to do an ombré look over the face starting from pale white with no eye brows, getting darker the further down the face it goes finishing with a dark purple lipstick and red cheeks working it's way up to the eye lids.

Attempt number 1! (Shahana's Design)

Following her face chart i first smoothed down the eye brows with pritt stick i then covered the face with a pale foundation and blended loose powder into the foundation so it didn't look like it was just sitting on the face.
i then  used a strong pink on the apple of the cheeks and applied gold eye shadow to the eye lids and blended black at the corners.
on the eyebrows i used black eye shadow and mixing medium to cover the eyebrows and for the fanned effect.
finally adding pink to the lips.

For my first attempt it turned out ok but I need to work the makeup into the hair line and down the neck much more also getting the eyebrows to look much more identical.
